How To Put On A Walking Harness
Instructions for putting an Escape Artist Walking Harness on your dog
: |
1. Place the padded triangular neck opening of the harness over the dog’s head. The “V” of the triangle that attaches to the padded chest plate, should point down. The chest plate sits against the dog’s chest. |
2. The back of the neck opening triangle should sit at the base of the dog’s neck, at the withers. |
3 and 4: Bring one side strap between the dog’s legs and around the outside of the dog. |
| |
5. Connect the side strap to the quick snap at the side of the harness. Tighten the side strap. |
6. Repeat Steps 3, 4 and 5 on the other side of the harness. |
7. After you have tightened the harness snugly around the dog, cut off the excess webbing on each side strap. (Retain some extra in case the dog grows). |
8. Melt the edge of the nylon on both side straps to avoid fraying. The picture shows using a lighter. Be sure to seal the edge away from the dog or flammable items. |
9. Attach your leash to the back of the metal “D” ring on the harness and away you go! |
The Escape Artist Harness also has an additional strap that circles the dog’s body and closes with a quick release snap. |
